The following organizations are eligible to apply for Research Institute recognition to do research with Anna University, |

i). The organisation should have at least 5 years of standing. |

ii). Institutes with 66.7%(2/3rd) NBA accreditation of all the eligible B.E/B.Tech., MBA & MCA Programs (or) NIRF ranking within 200 (included) for Engineering / within 100 (included) for Management and Architecture. |

iii). The institute that meets the above NBA or NIRF ranking criteria and is seeking recognition as a research institute will be granted recognition by the Centre for Research for a period of 3 years. |

iv). A fresh application must be initiated at least 3 months before the expiry of the current term and granting of extension will be based on meeting of above criteria at the time of application. |
